40s Crop Jacket - Biscotti

We have been wanting to make this fabulous new 1940s style crop jacket since a similar style was spotted in a photograph from 1941. The 'crop' or bolero jacket captures the boxy styles of the early '40s perfectly and has been created here in a stunning italian wool.

Strong shoulders, an elegant shawl collar and diagonal patch details perfectly capture this iconic look. The early 40s boxy shape places a lot of emphasis in the upper body and we put a lot of effort into creating the perfect shoulder shape. This resulted in a significant shoulder pad and roll with three tucks into the sleeve head. The shawl collar softens the shape slightly - by just adding that extra detail. The non-functional diagonal flaps below the shoulder emulate a pocket and are hand finished. Fully lined

Whilst we have a matching skirt also available - this exquisite jacket also goes beautifully with our high waisted Swing Pants and 1940s skirts.

Jacket is made from a top quality wool from an Italian.
