Inspired by Katherine Hepburn's iconic trouser suit look - these fabulous trousers are an authentic rework of an original 1940s trouser pattern adapted for the modern figure and in modern fabric.
Packed with features, this wide leg style has a turn-up, a high waist band, side zip and fastens with a single shell-look button. The wide leg is approx 22 inches circumference. Deep pleats on the front run into a strong and slimming crease. Style also has 2 darts on the back. Topped off with contrast top stitching - this is a fantasic and authentic style.

These trousers fit on the natural waist but do have a nice wide waist band which can fit slightly high on some people. The fabric has some stretch but this is more a comfort stretch.
This is definitely a style that will create shape but will require correct underwear ;-)

Measured myself very carefully before placing an order to check my size against the guide but the trousers that arrived are massive and far too long. Another pair ordered at the same time (swing trousers) in the same size fit ok so something is wrong with the sizing. Also the turn ups on these drooped at the front because the legs are so wide but the turn ups are not sewn up all the way round. It's a shame as I love the colour!
