Our best selling 1940s swing pants - 10 years in the making!
These have been painstakingly researched and are adapted from a late 30s pattern. With a few tweaks here and there, the pattern has been altered enough to fit the modern woman and our modern eye without compromising the vintage details.
A flattering tailored high waisted with four lovely quality mock shell buttons on the left. Wide leg with turn-up at the bottom. So comfy and perfect for dancing!

These are produced in a high quality mid weight fabric, warm but breatheable. Viscose/poly mix with a little bit of spandex for stretch, hand wash recommended.

These trousers are high waisted - going approx. 1 inch above natural waist. Trousers can be harder to fit people due to there being extra measurements to consider such as body length as well as waist, hip and thigh. However, this style has proved very popular and seems to fit people well.
The leg width isn't as wide as our 30s styles (fabric wasn't as readily available in the 40s!) but measures 56cms at the widest leg width part on our size 10.
So - we advise to choose by waist size but also to consider hip and your thigh measurement. This is not a great style for pear shapes but great for pillar shapes or inverted triangles.
Our trousers are made with fabric that has a touch of stretch in it - we call this a 'comfort stretch'. This means that there is a little margin if your measurements don't come up exactly like our table below.

The pants fit nicely (27 in. waist 40 in. hip - Size 10) and are much like the picture. The only two things I found a little disappointing was that there is no crease down the leg and the fabric didn't have as much structure as I was expecting. That being said they are very well constructed and the fit is flattering. Very soft, too!
These are gorgeous! Shipping to Australia was prompt and even faster than the estimate said, and customer service was wonderful the whole time. Unfortunately they don't fit me very well. I have a 66cm waist and 99cm hips, which puts me at size 8 and size 12 respectively, so I got a size 10 which did technically fit me, but the fabric clung to my hips in a somewhat unflattering yoga pants look and really showed the weird bumps and dips in that area. Below my thighs they looked awesome, and I think a size 12 would fit well and give a more vintage look as the legs and hips would be a bit wider. So just a note to anyone looking to buy these who has a particularly big hips-waist ratio, go for the larger size if you want the vintage look, you can always take the waist in a bit if needed. But I love that they're UK made and high quality and thus ethical and sustainable, since they should last for a long time. I'll definitely be trying other things from here, it was just unfortunate that the sizing didn't work out.
